Some insurance plans include out-of-network benefits, which means your insurance company may reimburse you for part of the cost of seeing a therapist who is not in-network with your plan.
QC Psychotherapy does not bill out-of-network insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill upon request. A superbill is a receipt-like document that includes the information your insurance company may need if you choose to submit a claim for possible reimbursement.
Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific insurance plan.
To find out whether you have out-of-network benefits, you can call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is my out-of-network deductible?
Has any of that deductible been met?
After I meet my deductible, what percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?
Is telehealth covered for out-of-network therapy?
How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?
Is there a deadline for submitting claims?
If your insurance reimburses part of the fee, you would still pay the session fee directly to QC Psychotherapy first and then seek reimbursement from your insurance company directly.

Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
● You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
● Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
● If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
● Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
